Welcome From the High School Administration

Welcome to Platte Canyon High School where our teachers and staff take your child's learning, growing, and development very seriously.

At PCHS our mission informs our actions and molds our expectations. Our teaching and learning are rooted in a standards-based education model focused on strengthening and growing our student's core subject knowledge and helping them to make career and college-bound connections through participation in a wide range of electives in the arts, languages, sciences, humanities, STEM, life skills and athletics.

Our reputation is founded on an individualized education for every student, challenging them to achieve their highest potential and preparing them for life beyond our school's walls. In 2016 our high school was recognized by US News and World Report as a top public high school in Colorado. The skill of our faculty, unparalleled small class sizes, unique extra-curricular opportunities, and supportive and challenging academic programming motivate our students to seek the most from their educational experience and to have fun while doing it.

Our doors are always open to future students and their families for school tours and for informational and planning meetings.

Schedule a tour and come to see what it would be like to join our learning community at Platte Canyon High School.

Kind Regards, Mike Schmidt- Principal Mark Hirschfeld-Dean of Students
