Regular Full Day Schedule 12/19/25

Dear PCSD Families,

I appreciate your patience as we work through some novel events caused by the high winds and adverse weather.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, and in order to best address the completion of finals at the high school as well as the end of the semester at the other locations, we will run a regular school schedule tomorrow (full day), Friday December 19, instead of the originally-scheduled half day. The high school will be conducting finals in all periods 1-8. Teachers have been directed to modify finals in order to address this compressed finals schedule.

We understand that some families may have already made other arrangements for tomorrow afternoon. Please contact your principal or department leader directly to make alternative arrangements if that is the case.

In the end, we feel this student-centered choice facilitates completion of courses at the high school tomorrow, so that students can take finals while the subject matter is still proximate, and so that we can start the spring semester as scheduled in January.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mike Schmidt

PCSD Superintendent
